Virginia Advances to the Sweet Sixteen! Cavaliers Use Stifling Defense to Beat Oklahoma 63-51

The Virginia Cavaliers are headed to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2016. In their 63-51 victory, UVA used their stifling defense to neutralize an Oklahoma offense that had scored 95 points in their first round game. Mamadi Diakite started the game and led the Wahoos with an impressive stat line of 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Virginia will play the 12th-seed Oregon Ducks on Thursday with a trip to the Elite Eight on the line.
