Four-Star Recruit Issac Traudt Commits to UVA Basketball

On Saturday morning, Four-star power forward Isaac Traudt (Class of 2022) announced his commitment to play at the University of Virginia. A widely sought after recruit, Traudt chose Tony Bennett and the Cavaliers over Michigan State, UNC, Nebraska, and others.

Traudt announced his decision via his social media channels Saturday morning:

This is a massive signing for the Cavaliers after losing key front-court players Trey Murphy III, Sam Hauser, and Jay Huff. The 6’ 10” power forward from Nebraska looks to add another dimension to the Cavaliers offense, offering a big body that can space the floor.

As the ninth-ranked power forward in the country according to 247sports, Traudt bolsters an already impressive recruiting class for the Hoos. He joins fellow four-star recruits Isaac McKneely and Leon Bond for the 2022 recruiting class. It won’t be for another year until these three lace ’em up for the Cavaliers, but fans should be excited nonetheless as Tony Bennett and the Cavs look to get back to the top of the mountain after last year’s first-round exit from the NCAA Tournament.
