The Virginia Cavaliers were awarded the 2019 Capital One Cup for men’s sports after incredible seasons in basketball, lacrosse, tennis, and swimming & diving. UVA will be presented with a trophy and a check for $200,000 toward student-athletes at the ESPY Awards on July 10th. Lacrosse head coach Lars Tiffany and lacrosse captains Ryan Conrad and Dave Smith will be at the awards show to receive the trophy and check. This is the second time that UVA men’s athletics have won this award, after winning a school-record three national championships in soccer, tennis, and baseball in during the 2014-2015 season.
