UVa has created a new Office of Global Internships, geared towards providing opportunities for students to take part in internships abroad.

The department aims to help students secure international internships at various non-governmental organizations, businesses, government bureaus and associations across the world, including locations such as England, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, and China. UVa maintains relationships with alumni, professional partners, and organizations in a multitude of industries in over fifteen countries, striving to offer the widest and best quality work environments available.

The Office works closely with students to help place them in the best international work opportunities available. It offers further post-placement aid by assisting students with any official paperwork necessary for international work and travel and offering need- and merit-based scholarships.

The Office of Global Internships will be hosting office hours this Thursday and Friday on the first floor of Newcomb, from 5pm-7pm (28th) and from 10am-12pm (29th). To stay up to date on international opportunities, students can sign up for the office’s newsletter to receive email notifications. A full listing of summer 2016 UVa Global Internships will be posted to CavLink by the end of January 2016.
