In a press conference this morning, University of Virginia President, Jim Ryan, announced that the Virginia Cavaliers’ men’s basketball game tonight at John Paul Jones Arena at 8 PM against the Northern Iowa Panthers has been canceled.
This announcement from President Ryan comes in response to a mass shooting on Grounds last night that resulted in three student-athletes on the UVA football team being killed and two more student-athletes being injured.
With the Northern Iowa game officially canceled tonight, the Hoos are currently next scheduled to play against the #5 ranked Baylor Bears in Las Vegas on Friday night at 7 PM in the Continental Tire Main Event.
