The future of the death penalty in Virginia

A bill to abolish the death penalty in the Commonwealth was introduced in the House of Delegates in December of 2019 and will be discussed during the 2021 legislative session. Thanks to the work of Virginians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (VADP), the bill has bipartisan support in both the House of Delegates and the Senate. WUVA reporter Amelia Delphos talks to Executive Director of VADP Michael Stone about the future of the death penalty in Virginia.
