A judge of an Albemarle Juvenile and Domestics Relations Court gave Korte continuance yesterday. Korte remains a patient in the UVa Medical Center, although his current condition has not been released. As of September 15, he was still considered in serious condition.

After investigations starting July 29, police arrested and charged Korte, director of UVa’s film studies since 1970, with two counts of possessing child pornography. They conducted searches of his house in Albemarle County and office in UVa’s Bryan Hall.

Korte was held in Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail without bail upon his arrest on August 2nd. UVa has placed him on administrative leave until further notice.
