Hoos Put Out Flames 55-27


The Virginia Cavaliers advanced to 8-3 on the season after defeating the Liberty Flames 55-27 on Saturday at Scott Stadium. UVA’s tandem of running backs combined for 227 yards and four rushing touchdowns, each by a different player. Despite falling behind 14-10 in the first half, Virginia’s offense managed 499 total yards and a season-high 55 points, while the defense forced Liberty’s potent passing attack into two interceptions, both by De’Vante Cross en route to the blowout victory. Virginia stays home for the regular season finale next Friday, November 29th at noon against Virginia Tech with the ACC Coastal Championship on the line.
