Cavaliers Edged by Wolfpack for 4th Loss in Five Games

The Virginia Cavaliers lost for the fourth time in the past five games, losing at home against the NC State Wolfpack for the first time since 2005, 53-51. NC State extended a 2-point halftime lead to a 42-31 advantage quickly in the second half. Then, UVA staged a huge comeback, holding NC State scoreless for over 10 minutes and going on a 15-0 run to take a 4 point lead. NC State responded once again with a 10-1 run of their own. Casey Morsell’s desperation heave at the buzzer fell short and UVA fell to 12-6 and 4-4 in the ACC. UVA will look to bounce back on the road this Sunday at Wake Forest.
