I fail to understand why a prank like placing a noose around the neck of the Homer statue should upset black students. Homer was of Greek descent, not African, so perhaps the perpetrator doesn’t like his poetry! People do many crazy/stupid things for whatever reasons, so to zero in on only one reason is ridiculous. Mr. Jefferson would be appalled at such closed-minded thinking.
