What Do We Know About the Coronavirus?

In December 2019, China reported an outbreak of acute respiratory illness caused by a novel coronavirus. Since its discovery, this virus has become a global issue, with over 70,000 confirmed cases in over 28 countries. As the number of confirmed cases continues to grow, doctors and scientists are working quickly to understand this new pathogen. WUVA spoke with Dr. William Petri, a professor of Internal Medicine and Pathology and Associate Director of Microbiology, to discuss what we know so far.
