The Yale Club of New York flew a different flag outside of its Manhattan club for the first time in its 122 year history, flying the University of Virginia flag in honor of Virginia men’s basketball coach Tony Bennett and his team’s national championship last month. Around 450 Yale Club members welcomed Bennett, Athletic Director Carla Williams, and Virginia basketball legend Ralph Sampson to the Club last week. WUVA obtained exclusive footage of Coach Bennett’s speech from the event.
