Thursday afternoon, Sophomore guard Casey Morsell announced, via his twitter account, that he will be entering the transfer porter.
Morsell announced his commitment to the University of Virginia back in 2018 and he was ranked as the 56th best prospect in the country and the sixth best shooting guard in the nation.
While this decision can be revoked, this announcement likely signifies the end of his time in Charlottesville. Over his career, Morsell played in 53 games and averaged 4.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.
So while this move starts the Cavalier offense on the wrong note, there is still a lot of potential for Tony Bennett and his roster, as they look forward to the 2021-2022 season.
