The UVA Spring Football Festival will take place on Saturday, April 23rd at Scott Stadium. Gates will open at 2pm and the intrasquad matchup will begin at 4pm.
The team began spring practice last week, and players have described the practices as “strenuous” and “fast,” and very different than what they have been used to. Coach Mendenhall and his coaching staff have fervently been pushing their new hashtag, #HoosRising, as they continue to update Wahoo faithful on the team’s progress, and excite fans for the approaching season.
After many consecutive disappointing seasons, fans are looking forward to a new beginning and are optimistic about this team’s chances to appear in their first bowl game since 2011. Mendenhall has never finished a season with a sub-.500 record as an NCAA head coach.
