This morning the UVA Football team announced their 2021 schedule, which includes twelve total games with seven games taking place in Scott Stadium. The season kicks off with a home opener against William & Mary on September 4th. The Hoos will also host Illinois, Wake Forest, Duke, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers will go on the road to face UNC, Miami, Louisville, BYU, and Pitt.
Some notable non-conference matchups include a home game against Illinois and a game in Utah against BYU. The Cavaliers will have their work cut out for them, when the National Semifinalist Notre Dame Fighting Irish come to Charlottesville on November 13th. Finally, the Cavaliers will hope to bring the Commonwealth Cup back to Charlottesville, when they host the Virginia Tech Hokies on November 27th in the final regular season game.
Notably, the Hoos won’t face Clemson, Boston College, Florida State, NC State, or Syracuse in the ACC play this upcoming season. After finishing 5-5, in a season that shortened due to COVID-19, the Cavaliers will look to rebound with a strong 2021 campaign.
