Friday afternoon, Carla Williams, the athletics director for the University of Virginia, announced that all home, UVA sporting events will be back at full capacity. That’s right: 100% attendance. That means 16,500 people in Scott, 14,500 people in JPJ, and 7,100 people in Klockner.
While UVA will continue to follow any and all state issued guidelines, the University is ready to take the next step in returning to normalcy. “We are excited to finally welcome back our fans and resume what we would consider normal home event operations,” said Williams.
At this time, we do not know the specific health protocols that will be in place, as they are set to be released at a later date. However, we hold nothing but excitement for what’s to come.
“We have a renewed appreciation for your [the fans] presence and we are looking forward to seeing you.”
Trust me, Cavalier fans look forward to seeing you too.
