Yesterday on the three year anniversary of Heather Heyer’s death and the Unite the Right Rally, Charlottesville community organizers reclaimed the Market Street park to provide a space of healing for the community and “to honor the anti-racist resistance to white supremacy before, during, and since August 12, 2017.” The event was created in collaboration with community members, Congregate Cville, Defund Cville PD, SURJ Cville, and Cville DSA.
