Director of Telemedicine Operations at the University of Virginia’s Karen S. Rheuban Center for Telehealth, David Cattell-Gordon shares his views on the growth of telehealth tools during COVID-19. He and his team of researchers have realized the necessity in video communications in all types of medicine. With recent advancements in telemedicine, they are hopeful for the ability to drive out access to the uninsured using these tools. Catell-Gordon emphasized the importance of reaching vulnerable and isolated populations that he sees as the “VIPs” of healthcare.
