About WUVA Alumni Interest Group

The WUVA Alumni Interest Group (AIG) was established by WUVA, Inc.’s board of directors and is officially affiliated with the UVa Alumni Association through the Association’s AIG Office.  WUVA’s AIG seeks to engage dedicated alumni who were members of WUVA Radio and WUVA News during their student years at the University.  Our AIG continually seeks to identify, locate, and contact WUVA alumni to keep them informed about WUVA’s current operations and to encourage alumni participation at WUVA AIG events, celebrations, and reunions.  The AIG also conducts fund-raising on behalf of WUVA, Inc.  We ask anyone who worked at WUVA during their student years, from 1947 to the present, to contact Mike Moose, Chairman WUVA AIG, by calling 910-322-3917or emailing him at wuvamoose@hotmail.com. You may also contact the AIG Staff at Alumni Hall by calling 434-243-9068.  Please ask to be added to WUVA’s AIG alumni database.  We welcome your participation.

WUVA, Incorporated at the University of Virginia has fostered independent, student-owned, student-operated electronic media since 1947. Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.
